Kings Dock Modern Art Gallery

The Kings Dock Modern Art Gallery creates a new place of art, leisure, and culture to respond to the council's vision for the area of reconnecting the historic Kings Dock and Liverpool City together as part of the Liverpool Regeneration Project. The design embodies the minimalistic and contemporary design approach of Liverpool's architecture.

Research into the optimisation of daylighting strategies has been incorporated into the building design with the aim of reducing the use of artificial lighting in building spaces to create a more sustainable and energy-efficient building.

Architectural Technology

The BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology course is a professionally-focused gateway to a career in the architecture industry. Students explore how buildings are created, procured, constructed and managed, and develop a practical and imaginative approach to design through a project-based learning experience.

As specialists in architectural technology, our graduates are the link between concept and reality; learning to identify, assess and challenge client and user requirements, translating ideas and possibilities into effective, practical and sustainable building solutions.
